These terms are an agreement between you and Noesis Trading Co. Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, trading as Maura ("we", "us"). By using the Maura app you accept them.
Maura is an education and self-reflection app about relationships. It contains written lessons, structured exercises, decision tools, a journal and an optional AI coach.
Maura is not therapy. It is not counselling, not medical advice, not legal advice, and not a crisis service.
We are not healthcare providers. Nothing in the app is a diagnosis, a treatment or a professional opinion about you, your relationship or anyone else. No therapeutic or professional relationship is created by your using it.
The app cannot know whether you are safe. If you are in danger, or thinking about harming yourself, contact your local emergency services, or in the UK call Samaritans free on 116 123 at any hour, or Refuge on 0808 2000 247.
Maura is a tool for thinking. Any decision you make about your relationships, your safety, your health or your life is yours.
You agree that you will not rely on Maura, and specifically not on the AI coach, for any decision affecting your safety, your health or your legal position. For those, consult a qualified professional.
The AI coach generates its replies automatically. It does not know you, it has only what you have typed in that conversation, and it can be wrong, incomplete or inappropriate. It is not reviewed by a person before you see it. Treat it as a prompt to think, never as an instruction.
The coach is a tool for thinking out loud, not a professional. It does not know you, it can be wrong, and it is not a substitute for a therapist, a doctor or a helpline. Please do not rely on it for anything that matters to your safety or your health.
You must be 18 or over.
There are two separate purchases, and only one of them renews. Prices are shown in the app in your own currency before you buy anything.
The programme is a single payment. It covers every lesson, course, weekly action, decision tool, the connection tracker and the pattern quiz. It does not renew, there is nothing to cancel, and it stays available to you on any device signed in to the same Apple ID or Google account. Restore Purchases on the paywall brings it back after a reinstall or a new phone.
The AI coach is a separate optional subscription, monthly or yearly. It renews automatically until cancelled. Cancel at any time in your Apple ID or Google Play settings; you keep it until the end of the period you have paid for. Cancelling the coach does not affect anything covered by the programme payment, which remains yours.
The coach is subject to fair-use limits, so that one person's very heavy use cannot degrade the service for everyone else. Ordinary daily use will not meet them.
We cannot cancel or refund on your behalf, because we never take the payment: Apple and Google do, under their own terms.
Do not attempt to break, overload or reverse-engineer the app or its services, resell access, or use the coach to generate anything unlawful. We may withdraw access if you do.
Do not upload images containing other people's private messages without thinking about whether that is fair to them. We cannot police this and ask you to.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected.

There are no accounts and almost everything you write stays on your device. See the Privacy Policy.
There is no backup. If you delete the app or lose your phone, your content is gone and we cannot recover it, because we never held it.
We may change these terms. If a change matters, we will tell you in the app. Continuing to use Maura after that means you accept the new version.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you live elsewhere in the UK you may bring proceedings in your own jurisdiction.
